JOYCE IS A MODERN COASTAL RESTAURANT BRINGING REIMAGINED SOUTHERN CUISINE TO THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

At Joyce, my menu centers around soulful Southern fare with an emphasis on sustainable seafood, offering an extensive raw bar program and selection of fine American caviars. Complementing the bright flavors, I also add rich, comforting depth with dishes like Cornmeal Crusted Nashville Hot Catfish and Hickory Smoked Tomahawk Pork Chop. Many of my chefs and cooks have been working with me for the past decade, Joyce being the 3rd of mine that brings us together. It’s not just that they like working with me, they like working with each other as well… and we have deeply rooted love, respect, and admiration for one another. None of the food-centric awards and accolades that me and my restaurants have received over the years would not have been accomplished if it weren’t for my team. Our Beverage Director, and my extremely talented wife, Kassady Wiggins designs a zero-landfill cocktail program that is well balanced and climate conscious. Her drinks are the perfect blend of new and familiar, while bringing Southern flavors to each glass with cocktails like the Hootie Hoo and Mother of Pearl Martini. Kassady and I teamed up with Founders and Operators, Prince and Athena Riley. Joyce is named after their daughter and her grandmother. Prince and Athena are like family to us, in fact, we often stay with them while in LA (which is upwards of 6 months a year). Together, we’ve created a restaurant embodies family, connection, and seeks to bring joy to guests through shared dining experiences. As we like to say, “We’re a family owned, family style restaurant that’s aiming for the sky.”
